Belotero Treatment in Miami
How does it work?
BELOTERO® Dermal Filler
Belotero is one of only 3 HA fillers that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approve in the United States, while also promoted in the UK. The FDA also approves the treatment for smooth moderate to severe wrinkles and folds1. When injected into the dermis, Belotero evenly integrates with your own dermal tissues and discreetly enhances your facial contours. This can help with added confidence. Belotero treatment in Miami additionally rehydrates for a radiant appearance.
Belotero – it becomes you…
As we age, our skin inevitably loses its youthful appearance. As our body’s production of natural dermal volumizers and moisturizers such as hyaluronic acid diminish, this leaves lines and wrinkles where our skin was once youthful, even, and radiant.
Belotero is an HA dermal filler, made of the same volumizing and moisturizing component of your skin. For this reason, it is the natural choice for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
When injected, it instantly plumps and adds volume to the areas where it has been lost. Even the finest lines can be treated with confidence with Belotero.
What’s the Belotero secret?
Producers specially design Belotero to integrate into your tissue and provide subtle and even results. The treatment accomplishes this without disrupting the natural contours of your face. IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION FOR BELOTERO BALANCE® DERMAL FILLER
The FDA approves BELOTERO BALANCE® for injection into the mid-to-deep dermis for correction of moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds.
BELOTERO BALANCE® should not be used in patients with severe allergies manifested by a history of anaphylaxis, with a history or presence of multiple severe allergies. The BELOTERO BALANCE® solution contains a trace amount of gram-positive bacterial proteins and is contraindicated in patients with a history of allergies to such material. BELOTERO BALANCE® must not be implanted into blood vessels.
Use of BELOTERO BALANCE® at specific sites in which an active inflammatory process (skin eruptions such as cold sores, cysts, pimples, rashes, or hives) or infection is present should be deferred until the underlying process has been controlled. BELOTERO BALANCE® must not be injected into blood vessels of any size. Introduction of BELOTERO BALANCE® into the vasculature may occlude the vessels and can cause infarction of overlying tissue or embolization with resultant necrosis of potentially large areas of distant tissue such as the lip or the nose. Injection site responses to BELOTERO BALANCE® have been observed, consisting mainly of short-term inflammatory symptoms starting early after treatment and with 7 days duration or less.
The safety or effectiveness of BELOTERO BALANCE® for the treatment of dermal contour defects other than nasolabial folds, such as use in the lips, has not been established in controlled clinical studies. The safety of BELOTERO BALANCE® for use during pregnancy, in breastfeeding females, or in patients under 21 years has not been established. As with all transcutaneous procedures, BELOTERO BALANCE® injection carries a risk of infection.
Patients who use substances that reduce coagulation, such as aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and warfarin may, as with any injection, experience increased bruising or bleeding at the site of Belotero injections. Patients should inform their physicians if they are taking such substances. Laser treatment, chemical peeling, or any other procedure based on active dermal response performed after treatment with BELOTERO BALANCE® may increase the risk of an inflammatory reaction at the injection site. Similarly, the administration of BELOTERO BALANCE® before the skin has healed completely after such a procedure may also increase the risk of inflammatory reactions. The treated area’s exposure to excessive sun, UV lamp, and extreme cold weather should remain minimized until any initial swelling and redness resolve and puncture sites heal.
The most common side effects seen after injection were swelling, bruising, redness, and hardening that resolve within one week. Rarer side effects may include swelling that lasts longer, unevenness or firmness in the area injected, and as with any injection, there may be a risk of infection.

Some secrets are definitely worth sharing…
What does FDA approval mean?
Belotero is one of only 3 HA fillers that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approve in the United States, while also promoted in the UK. The FDA regulates the way that companies produce and sell foods, drugs, medical devices, and other health products. The FDA is one of the most stringent regulatory authorities worldwide. Due to the high standards required for an FDA approval, it informs you about the quality and safety of a product. The fact that Belotero has FDA approval demonstrates its safety and efficacy.
How long does Belotero treatment in Miami last?
The effect will depend on the individual and the area that requires treatment. In clinical studies, 66% of patients continued to show a visible improvement 9 months after a single treatment2. Most clients opt for follow-up treatments after 6 to 12 months to maintain a fresh, youthful appearance.
How long does the treatment take?
You will undergo an initial consultation to discuss your needs as well as your medical suitability for treatment. The procedure usually takes around 20 minutes.
Does it hurt?
By design, Belotero helps to reduce any discomfort that patients may experience with dermal filler treatments because it integrates into your own tissues where other fillers may disrupt the tissue when injected. Injected through a fine needle, Belotero can be positioned towards the surface of your skin with the confidence that the tissue integration will ensure a smooth evenness of your skin after treatment. Your practitioner may offer you a topical anesthetic cream if your skin is particularly sensitive. You should discuss this option directly with your practitioner.
Will the treated area become hard or feel unusual?
Belotero integrates so readily into your own tissue that unlike other fillers, you will unlikely feel the implant when you touch the treated area. This is especially important in areas like your lips, where you will want to see the results but not necessarily feel anything different.
How soon can I return to normal daily activities?
Some patients experience swelling or redness after injection which usually subsides soon after treatment. Most patients return to work immediately after treatment. As dermatologists apply Belotero by injection, you may experience a slight bruise, but nothing that a little concealer can’t hide.
