Jump Start Your Skin Care Routine in 2020
We resolve to take better care of ourselves. Eating better, working out, but another way we can take care of our bodies is the way we treat our skin. It’s never too late to start a skincare routine.
You may wonder, “What makes a proper skincare routine?” Our team of experts is here to help and make starting a skincare routine easy! Here are a few of our recommendations for you when developing a dermatologist skincare routine.
It All Starts With a Cleanse
The first step to creating a proper skincare routine is evaluating your skin’s specific needs. Everyone has different skin types and different concerns they want to correct in their skin, so resolve to make a daily and weekly skincare routine that is tailored to your skin.
Most likely, you’ll find that you need a cleanser to start your routine, and we recommend using the Porefect Cleanser from our very own line. This cleanser is great for acne-prone and oily skin, as it uses salicylic acid and glycolic acid to unclog pores, remove impurities, regulate oil production, and even out skin texture and tone. This unique combination of medical-grade, acne-fighting ingredients work to clear problematic skin that is more sensitive to irritation effectively.
When using the Porefect Cleanser in your proper skincare routine, wet the face first, apply it like you would any other cleanser, and rinse it thoroughly. Make sure you avoid rubbing this product around your eyes, as it’s too harsh for the delicate skin in that area.
If you’ve never used ingredients like salicylic acid and glycolic acid, start off slow with this product or as directed by a physician.
Exfoliate: Dead Skin Cells Don’t Pay Rent!
The Gly/Sal Pads are from our custom line of products and are perfect for creating a dermatologist skincare routine. Because the pads have the same active ingredients as our Porefect Cleanser, the two products work in similar ways.
The Gly/Sal Pads exfoliate dead skin cells with these active ingredients, which effectively treats breakouts, clears pores, and removes bacteria for a healthy, glowing complexion. These convenient, gentle pads contain witch hazel to enhance skin tone further, and the active ingredients are combined with other hydrating ingredients to improve skin clarity and pH balance.
A benefit of these pads is that you can choose between a gentle formulation or one that is more potent. If your skin isn’t used to these active ingredients, we recommend going for the milder version that carries 2% salicylic acid and 2% glycolic acid.
The stronger version contains 2% salicylic acid and 5% glycolic acid. Choose what is best for your skin and what your skin can handle. Remember to talk to your dermatologist before incorporating this product into your 2020 proper skincare routine, as they can seriously irritate your skin if used improperly.
When using this product, wipe the entire area with a moist pad one to three times daily. Because excessive drying of the skin can occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a physician. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
Minimize Those Fine Lines
Our Age Perfection 3x can help achieve smoother, firmer, and more evenly toned skin. This retinol-based serum is enriched with caffeine to help achieve more radiant looking skin while delivering the skin enhancement and protective antioxidant benefits afforded by 90% green tea polyphenols.
Green tea polyphenols visibly improve the effects of sun damage and calm irritated skin. When using this product, we recommend applying it after cleansing the skin. Use it once a day before bed or as directed by your dermatologist.
The best part about these products is that they are all on sale this month for a limited time! We don’t necessarily recommend incorporating all of these products in a dermatologist skincare routine at once, so talk to your doctor about what’s right for your skin.
