Dr. Deborah Longwill DO, FAOCD
Dr. Deborah Longwill is a Board Certified Dermatologist who has served the South Florida community for over 25 years. Born in Los Angeles, Dr. Longwill grew up in Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Longwill graduated from George Washington University in Washington D.C. with her Bachelor of Arts before obtaining her Medical Degree from Southeastern University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. She achieved her board certification in 1992, bringing expertise and the very latest treatments to her patients.
Dr. Longwill chooses to focus on her patients as a whole, promoting the condition of overall wellness, taking into account their needs and concerns. Studious in nature, Dr. Longwill is always seeking out the most-effective, minimally invasive treatments and therapies for her patients. This helps her practice stay on the cutting edge of general and cosmetic dermatology treatments while providing the latest-and-greatest to the South Florida Community. Dr. Deborah Longwill was one of the first dermatologists in South Florida to spearhead the utilization of laser technologies for skin rejuvenation, and to perform the tumescent liposuction therapy, both innovative, groundbreaking techniques in the field of dermatology. Dr. Longwill is world-renowned for her injection techniques; she has gained local notoriety and has been featured on local newscasts on utilizing safe, state of the art methods by raising your traditional aesthetic medicine into an art form.
Dr. Longwill and the Community
In addition to being a committed dermatologist, Dr. Longwill is active in her community. She provides mentorship to the physicians and professionals of the future, aiding nurse practitioner, physician assistant, medical, and high school students in carrying on a legacy of patient-first treatment. Deborah also vigorously pursues the education of South Florida residents on a variety of health concerns, holding lectures on sun protection and skin care to local schools, and the Chai Life Line Women’s Wellness group.
Dr. Longwill has supported and contributed to a variety of groups to the benefit of others in her community including the Shalva Children’s Center, a program providing care from infancy to adulthood, family support, and advocacy for children with disabilities. She has taken part in several programs geared towards the youths of South Florida, being active with the Children’s Bereavement Center, Drug Free Youth In Town, Children’s Home Society, and Palmetto Senior High School.
Additional groups in which Dr. Longwill has participated, advocated for, and participated are the Chai Life Line Women’s Wellness Group, Miami Rescue Mission, Branches’ Black Tie and Blue Jeans Auction, MDC Employee Health Fair, The Social Cog, The Woman’s Cancer Association of the University of Miami, the Pinecrest Senior Health Fair, as well as advocacy for Breast Cancer Awareness, and Legal Aid. She remains an exponent for those in need, devoting her time and effort to the South Florida communities.
On a personal level Dr. Longwill is a devoted wife of 33 years, mother of 4, and grandmother of 3. In her time away from her practice, she enjoys the outdoors, photography, yoga, cooking and celebrating with friends and family. She spends her time in both Florida and North Carolina, where she can experience the best of both worlds!
